Dear Reader,

In India, the usage of Artificial Intelligence in various domains is growing at a steady pace. At present, India hosts a mere 6% of the total number of AI companies in the world. However, this sector offers tremendous opportunities for the start-ups to come up with innovative solutions especially for the banking and e-commerce sectors. In this edition we are glad to bring some valuable insights on the “Artificial Intelligence in India” by Mr Srikant Sastri – Co-founder of Crayon Data.

In this edition of the Newsletter, we are showcasing two innovative start-ups- – Vishalya Foods and Farms Private Limited and Krishworks Technology and Research Labs. Vishalya Foods and Farms is a promising start-up working in the agriculture domain and is creating impact through its technology enabled solution. Krishworks, on the other hand, is a start-up trying to bring quality education to the semi-urban and rural students leveraging technology.

Finally this issue brings you updates on the recently conducted initiatives like the Tata Social Enterprise Challenge 2018-19, Capacity Enhancement Workshops for the officers of the District Industries Centre and the Directorate of MSME, Health Trail, Training of Trainers on Entrepreneurship Development and the Janhit Jagran Idea Challenge Bootcamp.

Hope you will find the stories interesting. We eagerly await your feedback.
