Dr. Ankit Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Economics at IIM Calcutta, with research interests at the intersection of macroeconomics and finance (macro-finance), and a growing focus on AI-based solutions for financial decision-making by firms and governments.
He has undertaken consultancy projects for the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) and the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. A recipient of the Reserve Bank of India Scholarship (2022), he serves as a Member of the Expert Committee for the National Science and Technology Survey 2024–25 and the Project Advisory Committee (PAC) of the NSTMIS Programme, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
