Intern/Associate – Incubation

IIM Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP) invites applications for the position of Intern /Associate – Incubation. IIMCIP, a not-for-profit (section 8) company, aims at promoting entrepreneurship and innovation through creation of a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem and helps innovative ideas transform into successful business ventures.

The position of Intern / Associate – Incubation provides a great learning opportunity working with startups solving challenges of national importance. The role involves end-to-end execution of incubation program that includes sourcing promising startups, regular interaction with them, providing them with adequate support from the ecosystem, promoting the startups in different forums, stakeholder management.

Requisite & Desirable Skills & Capabilities:

• Knowledge and experience in planning, implementation, monitoring, coordination and reporting of the ProjectManagement cycle is mandatory.
• Proven knowledge & capability in working with computers (including comfort with basic tools like Word, PowerPoint & Excel) would be essential.
• Good command and capability in written communication (mainly English), including creation of online content (website and social media), regular marketing material (mailers, presentations, documents, etc.) and other strategic and tactical communication is also required.
• Creative flair and an ability to quickly conceptualize, ideate and articulate are preferred traits.
• Understanding and exposure to marketing fundamentals would be desirable.
• Other desirable traits include – independent handling of responsibilities with minimal supervision, good interpersonal & communication skills to be able to work in teams and deal with external partners, entrepreneurial mindset to help get things done in a small and fast-evolving organization, self-driven results-oriented mindset, etc.

Qualification and Experience: Freshers / Graduates with minimum of three years / Post Graduates with minimum one year experience in areas like technology/business management / social welfare would be preferred. Candidate with good academic record from a reputed educational institution is desirable.

Compensation: Will be commensurate with relevant experience and qualification of the candidate.

 Location: Kolkata

 Tenure: It is a contractual position for an initial period of two years and renewable thereafter subject to performance and organization’s requirement.
