Dear Reader,

As we reel under a global health crisis, it becomes more pertinent to stay positive, make the most of this one-off situation due to the lockdown, and look forward to a year of breakthrough innovations and developments. Having stepped into a new financial year, we thought it would be a good idea to encapsulate the year gone by in order to extract key learnings and takeaways and plan the coming days better.

2019-2020 was a year of action and implementation, with a special focus on the ecosystem development in Northeast India. While the operations for the incubation program kick started in Assam, MOUs were signed with the Government of Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh to boost the startup ecosystem in the state. Besides, we continued to nurture our partnership with the Government of Mizoram to identify budding entrepreneurs from the statefor incubation support and funding.

Our mission to champion the cause of social entrepreneurship,took a step furtheras we collaboratedand launched a focused Program that aims at encouraging and supporting women entrepreneurship.
Aligning our mission with the need to drive innovation and the entrepreneurial mindset in East and Northeast India, we joined hands with the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) to organize a series of initiatives for the youth that include Hackathons, Fellowships and Incubation support for entrepreneurs from different towns and cities in the region.
While incubation continued to grab the lion’s share of our attention, conspicuous efforts were made to streamline the organization for scaling up our reach, aimed at ecosystem development and promoting entrepreneurship. This shall continue to be our focus area in the forthcoming months as well. As a measure to up the game, we look forward to building new associations and sealing new collaborations with like-minded organizations in India and beyond.

This edition of our newsletter endeavours to create a collage of the variegated range of events and activities undertaken last year, including new introductions, commencements, accomplishments and milestones.
