Dear Reader,

We are glad to share with you all, the inaugural edition of ‘iNNOVARE’, the newsletter that seeks to capture IIM Calcutta Innovation Park’s engagement in the entrepreneurship and innovation space. Since its inception in 2014, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP) has been focussing on promoting awareness on entrepreneurship, motivating the youth and creating an enabling ecosystem where innovative ideas can flourish and transform into successful business ventures.

This periodic newsletter is aligned to our broad objectives and through this we aim to share with you valuable insights from the Gurus in the entrepreneurship domain, introduce you to some interesting startups, bring to you a glimpse of the recently concluded major activities and events at IIMCIP and an update on the upcoming events.

In the first edition we are privileged to share various tips provided by renowned entrepreneur, Mr. K. Ganesh on how to make an innovative idea work and start a new business. This edition also focuses on the achievements of My Private Tutor, which has been connecting students and teachers for the purpose of simplifying the task of finding tutors for students across more than 10 countries, since its inception in 2002.In another highly engaging article, Ashish Aggarwal, talks about the Guruskool application that is complete and self-paced package with courses across multiple skill domains, allows learner to grow without the necessity of a classroom or other infrastructure. It is equally interesting to see how Edwell Solutions Pvt Ltd, aims to reach 600 budget private schools in next 3 Yrs impacting 1 lakh students with access to technology based education in an affordable way.

Finally, this issue brings to you a glimpse of the 10th International Entrepreneurship Summit in India, held at IIM Calcutta in February 2017 and also a pitching session for startups conducted by IIM Calcutta Innovation Park at Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit in March 2017.
