In an effort to foster a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem that inspires budding entrepreneurs, IIMCIP in partnership with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) has embarked on a program to strengthen 2000 Technology Startups by providing holistic incubation support including but not limited to co-working space, mentoring, and networking. The idea is to leverage ICT enabled technologies in selected areas of national concern such as Healthcare, Education, Agriculture, Financial inclusion including Digital Payments, Infrastructure and Transportation, Environment & Clean Tech, Clean Energy. With a large pool of technology intensive startups crisscrossing resources across the innovation ecosystem the programme aims to provide technology solutions to various societal challenges.

Meity EIR Program
As part of the Meity Tide 2.0, IIMCIP launched the Meity Entrepreneur In Residence (EIR) program. Under the EIR program the startups will be provided with a 12-month incubation at IIM Calcutta Innovation Park. Along with mentoring, the program will provide startups with a Rs. 4 Lakh grant over the duration of a year for the purpose of validation and development of an idea.

Hackathon
As another part of the Meity Tide 2.0 programme, IIMCIP in an effort to boost the ecosystem, has conducted4 Hackathons in East & North East India with the support of multiple partner organizations, to validate innovative ICT enabled ideas and solutions. Two more hackathons will be conducted.
