10th International Entrepreneurship summit:
The 10th International Entrepreneurship summit was conducted at the IIM Calcutta campus on 5th February 2017.
600+ students and entrepreneurs from the local region attended the event.
The event witnessed talks by other eminent speakers like Mrs. Mridula Ramesh, Joint Managing Director, Southern Roadways Limited & Executive Director, Sundaram Textiles, on Cleantech Technologies, Dr. Larry Cox, Associate Professor, Entrepreneurship, Pepperdine University, Mr. Mohit Kapoor, Head – Alliances, Reliance Jio, Mr. Amey Mashelkar, Mentor-in-Residence, GenNext Hub, Mr. Jayesh Parekh, Managing Partner, Jungle Ventures & Co-Founder, Sony Entertainment Television and Dr. Kanchan Gaba, Chairperson, International Institute for Self-Reliance.
Budding entrepreneurs and start-ups had a wonderful opportunity to showcase and promote their innovative products and services in exhibition stalls.
Pitching Session at Startup Bihar:
A business plan pitching session was conducted by IIM Calcutta Innovation Park at the Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit on 21 March 2017. Over 100+ startups applied initially through an online application process and from there 15 startups were shortlisted for the final pitching session. The Judging panel comprised of members from the starup ecosystem (IIM Calcutta, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, YourStory, Nasscom, F6S).
Top three teams were awarded a total of 1 lakh cash prize.
