IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, in association with NSTEDB, launches Nurture 2016 – a short term Entrepreneurship Development Programme that will enable aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs to develop viable business models and create sustainable ventures.
The residential programme at IIM Calcutta Innovation Park will impart some essential entrepreneurial skills and provide networking opportunity with the key stakeholders in the startup ecosystem like entrepreneurs, Investors, Mentors and service providers.
The programme would include practical tools and techniques to generate innovative product ideas; validate ideas and manage product development process leading to a minimum viable product; the essential concepts in marketing and branding, financial modelling; development and presentation of a business plan. It would also provide an overview on the entrepreneurship ecosystem, the funding options, relevant Government policies and schemes and the major legal and intellectual property related issues.
The programme is divided into three broad modules: Ideation, Planning and Launch. The first module (Ideation) will focus on idea generation and idea validation, the second module (Planning) will cover essential elements of business planning and the third module (Launch) will highlight some key aspects of launching the business venture.
The pedagogy of the program will be based on Experiential Learning Methodology (ELM) using a blend of classroom lectures, case studies, group discussions and hands-on exercises. At the end of the program, each participant is expected to have developed a viable business plan and gained sufficient knowledge to launch their venture.

It is a 6-day programme at IIM Calcutta Campus on fully residential basis. The course will commence on and from 31 May 2016.
Rs 30,000/- plus service tax as applicable. This would include accommodation on twin sharing basis and meals at IIM Calcutta campus.
