DriverShaab, as the name suggests, strives to bring dignity and economic stability long due to the drivers in India. It is a service offering by Satadru Technologies Private Limited, a SaaS based platform that provides chauffeurs to businesses, fulfilling the customers’ transportation needs. Drivers with verified credentials receive employment in the logistics and passenger transport sector by registering on the platform, which, in turn, provides a stable source of livelihood in a nation with a 23.50% unemployment rate.
Offering their services in 9 cities – Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Siliguri, and Delhi NCR – they currently provide productive employment to 1,500 drivers enrolled on the DriverShaab app, with 800+ rides in a day. As a fallout of the Covid pandemic many people from the Bottom of Pyramid lost their source of livelihood and this is where DriverShaab chipped in to provide employment to those drivers who weren’t laid off or weren’t getting jobs.
Providing a solution for on-demand drivers, DriverShaab reduces the cost incurred by middle-class families having to employ a driver on constant payroll irrespective of their logistic needs. Entering the two-wheeler last-mile delivery space in recent times, DriverShaab has provided 265 Bikers in Mumbai for Amazon delivery, Big Basket and Delhivery combined.
Driving as a profession is considered a low bonus-based job as it directly does not contribute to revenue generation, with exceptions, of course. DriverShaab provides drivers for heavy vehicles and the freight sector to boost the earnings of experienced drivers and open the doors for them to work in more significant enterprises such as Bisleri and Rivigo.
The enterprise tries to build a better livelihood source for drivers who, for years, have remained underappreciated in their profession. DriverShaab has ensured wages between INR 350 – 1400 per day based on experience of the driver thereby helping drivers raise their earning potential.
