Every day, it carries over 25 million passengers and over 3 million tons of freight. Though Indian Railways has made significant progress both qualitatively and quantitatively over the last decade, but still it faces big challenges in several areas like safety, security, timeliness, financial efficiency and effective infrastructure maintenance. This offers immense prospects for start-ups to come up with innovative solutions to address these problems by leveraging new age technology. In the start-up showcase section, we have stories of two innovative start-ups- GiftAbled Pvt Ltd and Synergy Teletech Pvt Ltd. Giftabled is social enterprise working with the differently abled persons, leveraging their unique capabilities and creating livelihood opportunities for them in a sustainable manner. Synergy Teletech, on the other hand, is a start-up trying to address the issue of On-site Bio-Fuel Delivery Service.
